Ricky Martin’s concert in Montenegro was briefly interrupted after tear gas was discharged toward the stage during the opening night of the European leg of his tour.
A representative for the singer said Martin and his team were safe after leaving the stage as a precaution. Security staff and local authorities responded to the incident, and the performance was paused while the venue was checked and the situation was brought under control.
Once authorities confirmed it was safe, Martin returned to the stage and continued the show for the audience. The interruption did not appear to stop the concert from being completed.
The incident happened as Martin continues his international tour, which has brought him back to European stages with a set built around some of his best-known songs. No major changes to the tour schedule have been announced.
The episode drew attention because of the unusual nature of the disruption, but the main update remains simple: Martin, his team, and the concertgoers were able to move forward safely after the pause.
